>> July 1st Canada Day

Happy Canada Day, everyone! It's a very special one this year, since Canada Day marks the anniversary of the enactment of the Constitution Act, 1867, so this is the 150th such anniversary.

Today is also the anniversary of the birth of the famous aviator Amy Johnson, who was born in Hull, Yorkshire, in 1903.

Happy July to everyone, Thank you Mary for opening a new thread and applying some special July Days... Happy Canada Day too!!! I have always wanted to visit Canada and have quiet a few friends who live there. Our July 4th Independence Day is on Tuesday so a lot of people will be celebrating this weekend.
They have a lake here with a huge Movie screen that goes around the lake. Everyone gets a big float and relaxes in the lake while the movie JAWS is playing! HaHa.... How relaxing is that? We are thinking of going if the price is right. Have a great day!

Pouring with rain here. Put a bit of a dampener on the Independence Day festivities.

Oh Rosie, your getting rain???? Come to Austin and do the celebrations here!!! Oh Mary I don't mind ironing either. It is a mindless job and you can enjoy the tranquility of not having to over think it.
I guess I will go and have a look at the radar and see if we are going to get rain... Wishing that we would. My big plans for the day is bank and grocery shopping!
