I was just wondering how many people in here are not from England or Europe, I should say. I joined this site when I used to live in England but now I am back in the states, and I'm am an American by birth so I was wondering if I am one of the only few in here that is American.

I love crafting, and I love this site! Some of the other sites that I've been to seem a bit "clickish" in nature, and it seems like most of the same people win almost all the time on those sites which I think is a bit biased, but that's just me.

I've made a lot of very nice friends here, and I hope this site never ends up becoming like those other places I've been too.

Hi Gladys

I am English by birth but now live in America. So while I am not American I joined DT while living in America.

I miss England BIG TIME!....I don't miss the way some of the people treated me just for being "American" but I don't let that bother me much....I still love it there.

I think there are quite a few Americans--I live in North Carolina, and besides those of us in the States, there are some lovely folks in Canada and Australia and South Africa, all around the world

I am in the states. I live in Austin Texas. This is the best site I have ever found. Been here for almost 8 years in November. I had to reopen a new account but it was fine. On occasion I can still access my old account. Gladys My daughter lives in Mammoth Lakes California 6 hours from LA and that is where they are now. My grandson was care flighted to Children's Hospital so they are there now and trips home are far and few in between.

< 'seems like most of the same people win almost all the time'>

Maybe that's because those who win are designers and experts at what they do but I have seen some clever ideas on here that have been overlooked as they have not been like the example page...though the instructions state otherwise. I don't know how the winner is chosen, by views, amount of comments or challenge setter preference but I'm sure every entry is judged on its merits.
