Straightening /stretching images

Could someone please tell me how to straighten out a picture which has been taken of an item, and the item is bigger at the bottom than the top. E.g. It should be an a4 portrait size and has been slightly distorted and the bottom is approx 2cm wider than the top. Does this make sense? Not completely square but like that shape in maths only not quite so drastic! I want to stretch it back to totally oblong portrait shape, can this be done? I don't just want to crop it because it will loose some of the pattern which would be a shame. please.

I believe you can do it in Photoshop and PSE15 but I don't know of a way in CA? Maybe someone else can offer a suggestion

Hi,

You would need a warp or perspective tool to fix it which CraftArtist doesn't have, the distort filters in photolab would just make the photo worse, CA has very basic photo editing. As said, you would be better using a photo editing program that has tools built in to do these kind of jobs.

I think that PagePlus has the correct tool - if you happen to have PagePlus as well as CA I'll look it up for you.
