Hi can anyone help please I have just downloaded Craft Artist 2 to my new Windows 8 Laptop and it states that This app can't run on your PC To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher. I have contacted Daisytrail help and got a ticket number but understand that a reply can take days. Anyone got any ideas as I thought Craft Artist 2 was compatible with Windows 8!!!!

I have it on Win 8, not a laptop though--but installed just fine, so I'd definitely get up with Tech Support!

Yes, some of us are running CA2 on Win 8.
Edit: At least two on laptops.

Edit: forget that. I've never been able to find it. Tried just now again, and it's not in the Win app store.

Thanks for the comments I went into my account and downloaded it from there so don't think it would have been an app version what ever that is???

I'm just taking a stab, but have you tried right-clicking on the icon for CA and choosing to run it as an administrator?

Hi Kat and yes have tried that and changing the compatibility mode settings but still get the same message every time. My Docraft Digital Designer software is installing just fine at the moment. Brownie points for Digital Designer and I never thought I would say that LOL.

I can't remember doing anything special. Went to the serif forums, and not seeing anything there at the moment, either.

Even the free version, Compact, is supposed to run on Win 8.

Hi, I'm running CA2 on a new desktop PC with Windows 8. Installed no problem and - don't want to tempt fate! - but is running fine. Which is probably frustrating news for you in one way, but at least you know it is compatible. If you are finding it a problem I am sure Tech support at Serif will be able to help sort it out and hopefully they won't take too long to get back to you.
