Kits - Digicrea & Digiscrapbooking

I know quite a few DT'ers subscribe to the above for freebie kits etc. Has anyone received some 'suspect' newsletters over the last couple of days Instead of the usual identifiable newsletter?

I have received emails from both companies containing a very plain newsletter, mostly text, with the website link displayed in it, asking for me to join their new look newsletter, or something like that. As my french isn't that great I can't be exact, but that seems to be the gist of it

I have just deleted straight away the 3 that I have received. When I googled the regular site it looks as always, with nothing on there to suggest customers might be receiving spam or worse. But these emails don't appear to tie up, although they mention all the usual designers.

I'm suspicious! Has anyoned else received these emails, or followed the links in them. I have good security/virusware which normally flags up at the faintest whiff of anything and it is not giving me any warning - though I haven't tried to follow the links yet, so maybe it wouldn't.

Anybody else receiving them and following the links? If so, are they genuine? I'd be pleased to know, thanks.

I received one yesterday and it looked so odd, as you say I immediately deleted it. This follows something strange the other day. I tried to link from a normal newsletter and my AVG immediately flagged up security alert so I decided to leave well alone! Funny!!!

Hi rosabelle, thank you for replying. Since posting at 1.36 I have just received 2 more purported to be from Digicrea. So it looks like something is going on doesn't it. I've deleted again straight away but next time I will try using mail rules to permanently block so it doesn't download to my inbox at all.

It begs the question now ..... how have they got hold of all the subscribers emails? Seems nothing is secure these days does it? Must be sending lots of spam/virus around the digi world.

I have gotten about 6 of them from digital crea just this morning. Deleted them all, after seeing the first one. I did see something on their site about computer problems. Only received one from digiscrapbooking.ch.
