Help please??? My card not printing on to card properly.

Hi there,
I tried my first print out on to card today of a birthday card I have just finished. I have uploaded it on to Daisytrail called Clydesdale_Linda. I have set the page size to 5" x 7" folded but when I print it is not printing properly on to the sheet. It is moving the printing down the page so a piece of it is not printing at all. This is happening on both sides.

Can anyone help please to let me know what I have done wrong? I have taken photos of the printed card if someone would like to see just what I mean - and if so where can I upload them please? I have them ready and waiting in my profile

Kind regards to all and many thanks.

I can never get my cards to print correctly either, so I now export them as a pdf and then print them using the "booklet" setting on my printer. Perfect every time!

Oh thank you Wendy. I will give that a try and hopefully it will sort itself out. I have spent hours today trying to get it right and my friend's birthday is on Wednesday so was hoping to post it tomorrow. Many thanks again

Well I tried Wendy doing exactly what you did - without any success. We ruined so many cards last night. What is happening is that it IS actually printing 5x7, but not in booklet form as we have stipulated in the options for the printer. The card is 10 x 7 with a fold in the middle, but the printer is printing both the pages inside a 5x7 area, right in the middle of the card. I think we will have to delete the printer, reload it and get some more drivers for it. I was so looking forward to having a new hobby, but it looks like it has been a complete waste of money so far. I am off out this morning to buy a birthday card.

I don't use prefolded card. I print onto A4 card and then fold it myself.

I allso use A4 card to make A5 card but if you go into the size card that you want to make it will print onto A4 card and you can cut off what you dont need or fold into an A5 card

I regularly use pre-folded 7x5 card and have the occasional problem but not generally. I don't set my printer to booklet printing at all.I select the greeting card template folded at 7x5. When I print I select whole document and go to printer properties and then just set that to my paper size of 7x5 and print at actual size with manual double sided. I always have a preview just to check. I have an Hp printer but I should imagine they're all pretty well the same idea. My main problem is when I feed the card back in for side 2, I sometimes do it the wrong way round and the one side is upside down. This is my own fault.

When you open your print folder, click on the properties button to open the printer settings, if you have borderless printing click on that, mine then lets me expand the print area so as to make the image a little bigger as some A4 cards are slightly larger than others, then click print. If your printer doesn't do borderless it will always have a white border, also slightly extending the background you've use may help in printing.
