Hello Everyone,
This is my first post on the site. At the moment I am at the very start of using Serif Craft Artist. My apologies in advance if this question has been previously answered. I have been given Daisy Trail Digikit Collections 2-5. I have tried to load the discs onto my hard drive. I then receive the message "You must have Serif Digital Scrapbook installed before installing Daisy Trail Digikit Collection" I understand that Serif Digital Scrapbook preceded Craft Artist. On the disc it states Auto run will start the installation for Windows XP and Vista I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I have Serif Craft Artist version 1.0.5.43 my question how can I install the Digikits. Any guidance you can give will be more than welcome.

You need to open the CD (not autorun it) and find the pack files. Then you can just copy them into your Digikit Folder.

Right click on the Drive and select open and then go through the folders until you find the files.

Hi wendyp
I've done as you suggested copied the Pack File into Serif File in My Documents Library. Clicking on the file just shows files in grey with titles underneath clicking on any of these brings up "Windows can't open this .pack file" Do I need to open Craft Artist programme to view files, I srongly suspect that I do, if that's the case what's the procedure?

To install Digikits Manually

(1) place disc in DVD Drive

(2) Browse to the DVD Drive

(3) Locate Directory on DVD/CD called Packs and go into this directory

(4) select all the files with a .pack ending then <CTRL> C to copy to clipboard

(5) Browse to your My Documents directory

(6) within your My Documents directory locate the Directory called My Digikits

(7) go in to this directory then <CTRL> V to Paste the Digikit files (.pack) to this directory

(8) Open Craft Artist and you will now find the digikits listed and available

Hope this helps

Many thanks for your guidance, the procedure worked very well, installation went through without a wrong foot from me. Sanity returning, I shall have a little lie down and later I'll install the other discs. Thanks once again.
