A '.pack' file is just a '.zip' file with a new extension, and Internet Explorer tries to be helpful by renaming it when you download. Either rename it back again (from *.zip to *.pack) or use a different browser. Just to make things even more difficult for those of us who want to change filename extensions, the default setting in Windows is for most extensions to be hidden. To fix this, open up an Explorer window, choose 'Tools > Folder Options...' and click on the View tab, and then clear the checkbox for the entry labelled 'Hide extensions for known file types'.
