Acceptable Scrapbooks

Just a gentle reminder as to what is acceptable to post on DaisyTrail and what is not. Essentially uploaded pages should be scrapbooks (and yes, that does include fantasy pages!) and cards. Just occasionally a really amazing template page may also be included.

Some members may want to share backgrounds, photographs and art pages that they have made and wish to share with their friends. This is still possible but you must change the setting from Public to Friends Only when you upload. I'm attaching a link to Jo's original post (which was before we had templates for cards), which states that these pages, if not set to Friends Only, will stay on your profile page but will not show on the Community Wall.

Just occasionally we have visitors to the site who create pages which contains links or references to their personal website and are really "advertisements". If these slip the net you can report them by clicking on the report button just above the page.

You are so good at them, Alfred - I'd completely forgotten I've got the link in my favourites

It's easy when you know how! Just type

[url=

and paste the URL, and then type

]

and paste the URL again. Finally, type

[/url]

to close the whole thing off.

...or you could do what I do and keep a tab open with Alfred's Clicky Link Maker to hand!

Thanks for this thread Hils...very useful for any newcomers to DaisyTrail who are perhaps not yet familiar with the T&C of the site.

Anne - hard to believe, but in my Chrome bookmarks bar which runs along the top of my screen is - Alfred's Clickable Links! I'm not as dizzy as I was a couple of months ago - but it looks like I've a way to go, yet

Can i just add to that, that if a member wishes to create a freebie then please follow Hilary's guidelines above by setting your upload to Friends and not Public then posting in the Members Freebie Forum, so that other users can find your freebie. Of course if your freebie is incorporated into a scrap page or card then it is ok to post to the community wall, but not just the embellishment, paper etc..

That's a really good point, Kaz, about the difference between just showing "the freebie" and posting a scrapbook made with the freebie
