I made a LO earlier, I have tried to open it again and I keep getting this message

"this file doesn't seem to be a craft artist document. If you are trying to open some other kind of picture , try using insert/photo in a new document"

now Im not new to dsa2 or craft artist and I have never had this happen and Im kinda at a lost on what I can do to recover my LO. It has taken me a good few hours to do and i just needed to put the finishing touches to it.

If any one has any advice on how I can open my page I would be very grateful.

Are you by any chance trying to open a page that you have 'Exported' as an image file (i.e. JPG) as that is what the error message is suggesting?

Is the page you were working on still showing at the bottom of the 'File' menu? Perhaps you could try opening it that way.

No I never exported it to a jpeg, it's showing as a craft artist file in the folder that it's saved in. I've tried opening it from the saved folder and also opening it up once craft artist is open, and either way won't work.
When the start up wizard is up its not on the last opened files either, but it's saved in my saved folder in my documents. I've even tried 'browse' and it's there but the image is all blurry when I click on it I get the same message

Oh dear..not sounding good is it Have you tried turning off your PC...booting up again etc? Sometimes a reboot works wonders.

Ha ha twice, looks like its back to the start for me, the weird thing is my pc was 'playing up' a little while I was making the page ( my right click on the mouse wasn't working and it was a little slow) it was this reason I restarted the pc in the first place, funny thing is I pressed the save button twice( I'm a little paranoid about shutting down CA with out making sure my page is saved.

LOL ...I see your status says that you are 'scrapping like a mad woman'...perhaps your PC is trying to tell you something ....it sounds like your file wasn't saved properly after all ...never mind your new page will be even better you'll see!

How ironic, perhaps I over saved yes I've got a serious scrap on at the moment so perhaps it's my pc saying "jeez woman give me a break!" oh well I can remember most of how it was layed out will start re-scrapping while it's still fresh in my mind. I haven't uploaded here for quite sometime, will have to sort that out tomorrow
