Changing color of element

I want to change an object that is black to a different color but can't figure out how to do it. I am working in DSA2 and have imported the element through the Photo tag. Sometimes I can get a faint color around the edges but the main object stays black. Is there a way to color this element?

Make sure you have a colour in your colour fill box then go into PhotoLab > HSL > and slide the sliders until it changes to the shade you want.I've haven't got DSA2 anymore but sure that's how I did it .It's slightly different in CAP

Another way to do this carjen > select your object and click on a colour in your colour palette, when you do this an oblong button should appear on your toolbar called 'Colour using HSL'. Click on that and your black object should take on whatever colour you have chosen...

Thanks to all!! I got it to work with both suggestions. It's sooo easy when you know how! I really appreciate the help I have received on this forum. Now, off to color those elements. Thanks again. Carol.
