I had CA Compact, then purchased Photo Projects. Now that I have many brush types to choose from, it seems that the brush selector will get stuck on a brush type (say, confetti), and no matter what I do, I can't activate a different brush type.

If I close and then re-open the project, the problem goes away and the returns if I try to switch between different brushes.

Is this a known issue?

After further experimentation, it seems that the "Edges" brushes set off the problem. I don't think this is the only way the problem crops up, but it is one way.

Hi, have you try'd a reset to factory settings? this sometimes fixes brush problems, hold down the ctrl button on start up of the programme and a box will pop asking you to reset, check the box also and hopefully your brush problem is fixed.

p.s. Having the compact version on your computer first triggers these problems for some people.

Thanks, I will give that a try.

I have had this problem several times and have had to save, close and re-open to cure it. It was not just the edge brushes but also some of the natural media brushes. I did a reset and it seemed better for a while and then came back. I note Summersara's comment about having had Compact first seems to trigger this. I still have Compact on my hard drive so will remove it and see if that cures things.
