DIY Cutlery Pockets
It’s day 9 of our 10 Days of Christmas Crafts, and we’re looking at last-minute crafts which are quick and simple to do.
These cutlery pockets are the perfect excuse (as if anyone ever needed an excuse!) to squeeze in some extra crafting before Christmas Day, and they’re functional too!
To make these I opened CraftArtist, and loaded up a blank A4 portrait page. I then added 4 more pages. To pages 1, 2, and 4 I added my chosen backgrounds (from the Cardinal Christmas kit). Next I added a rectangle to page 1 to make it easy to cut out the underneath of my cutlery pocket. My rectangle is 9.5” high, by 4.5” wide.
I then added another rectangle to page 3, the size of the front of the pocket. I chose 5” high by 4.5” wide for this. To page 3 I then added the embellishments which I want to form the front image. I’m planning to cut out one of the embellishments, and attach it to the front of the pocket with a foam pad, so I copied this onto page 5 also (you can skip this bit if you’re not planning on attaching any embellishments to your finished cutlery pocket.
All that’s left to do now is print out the project. I just used plain paper, and printed on both sides, so that the rear of the pocket is decorated too. Cut out the pieces, and assemble them all using double-sided sticky tape and foam pads!

|I've just been looking at this project again and it's given me an idea for a charity fund raiser that l'll be involved with in 2017....if it comes to fruition I'll post some pics!|
