Tutorial - Advanced Text Controls
Posted: 4th September 2009 Category: Tools & Techniques By: jopriorHi All,
You'll need to be using 1.5 for this one - some more advanced ways for you to edit text - including wrapping text onto multiple lines and adjusting the leading and kerning of text.
Thanks,
Ash
Tutorial - Double Page Spread Tips
Posted: 1st August 2009 Category: Tools & Techniques By: jopriorThis is my last tutorial today. I realise that DSA doesn't have a specific function to help with creating double page spreads, but there are a few techniques you can use to get perfect results which I thought I'd share with you.
Apologies for having to use a calculator!
Thanks,
Ash
Tutorial - Reflection Effect
Posted: 1st August 2009 Category: Tools & Techniques By: jopriorHi Everyone,
Following on from the tutorial about shadows, here I show how you can also add a reflection effect to photos. Bear in mind you can use the same technique to any objects in DSA and it works particularly well with text as well.
Thanks,
Ash
Tutorial - Advanced Shadows
Posted: 1st August 2009 Category: Tools & Techniques By: jopriorHi Everyone,
I thought what better way to spend a Saturday morning than do a few more tutorials for you. On this one I thought I'd show a few more options that the shadow tool has available other than applying a simple drop shadow.
Thanks,
Ash
Tutorial - Masks and Stencils
Posted: 17th July 2009 Category: Tools & Techniques By: jopriorHi everyone,
Take a deep breath - this is a bit of a tricky technique, but wanted to show how mask layers work generally, and also how you can use them to create stencil effects with brushes.
I should point out that again I'm using the beta version of the upgrade so there are some differences to how things look compared with the version you have.
Also, importantly, you will find with the current version that spray brushes wont work with stencils (for example glitter) - but will work when you get the free upgrade.
Thanks,
Ash

Page Curl Tutorial
Posted: 5th May 2009 Category: Tools & Techniques By: jopriorHi Everyone,
Having seen Deeley's Tutorial on how to create a page curl effect it inspired me to do a video tutorial of it.
This is the most complex demo I have done and also uses tools I haven't shown before - in particular the fill and transparency tools. I will be doing seperate tutorials on both of those tools in due course, so if you do struggle to pick up what I'm doing here, these other tutorials will definitely help.
Both the fill and transparency tools are fantastic and great to play around with. Please let me know how you get on and if there's anything you need further explanation on.
Thanks,
Ash
