Tune in to our amazing One Day Wonder on Create & Craft TV!Posted: 30th September 2014 Category: DaisyTrail News By: jess serif
Over the last few weeks we’ve given you a sneak peek of our upcoming CraftScapes collection but I’m thrilled to announce that the much anticipated CraftScapes collection will be launching on Create & Craft TV this Thursday!
Now, I think the designers wouldn’t mind us saying that CraftScapes is a personal favourite of ours in the DT office… Charlotte, Becks and Siobhan have been hard at work over recent months lovingly hand-painting each item in these gorgeous kits and the result is just amazing!
Each collection provides you with a wide variety of different elements that can be built up to create your very own completely unique scene. So I thought I’d share a few more in depth sneak peeks with you… Enjoy!
This collection is an absolute stunner and is not to be missed! Michelle has some fantastic demos lined up so why not join her on Thursday 2nd October as part of our One Day Wonder - with shows from 8am GMT and continuing throughout the day this offer is not to be missed!
Treasured Memories of 2014...Posted: 17th September 2014 Category: DaisyTrail News By: jess serif
The Johnston Wedding...
This afternoon we’ve been reminiscing on some of the fantastic summer memories we’ve had in the DaisyTrail team, we have to admit – it’s been an eventful year! We’ve had 3 weddings, 2 huge big brand launches and a sprinkling of new designers! So we thought it would only be fair to let you in on some of the fun and celebrations we’ve had … over the next month each of us will be popping in to share our summer memories with you so I thought I’d start it off…
2014 was a big year for me … I went from being a Miss to a Mrs celebrating my marriage to my (now) husband Rich after getting engaged in the gorgeous Cape Verde almost 3 years ago!
On a typical (rainy) day in April, myself; dressed in a beautiful sparkling ivory dress, and my partner Rich (who was shaking like a leaf!) tied the knot. We married during a private civil ceremony in a gorgeous converted farmhouse surrounded by our close family, friends and lots of twinkling candles – we both wrote our own vows to each other and had a beautiful reading from my now grandfather-in-law on the art of a good marriage. There was lots of laughter, a few tears and plenty of fizz but the best bit had to be that we finally got the chance to say I do after meeting on a not-so-romantic bus seven years earlier!
Now, with my role at DaisyTrail & CraftArtist this would be no wedding without some CraftArtist touches! So the weeks leading up to our wedding we spent every spare moment crafting. Creating everything from place cards, menus and funny signs to dot around the venue and not forgetting tags for a huge vase that we filled with over 100 Crème Eggs! (Being an Easter wedding we thought it rather apt!). I also spent hours creating all our invites by hand (with the help of CraftArtist once again).
After the ceremony we enjoyed a candle-lit dinner followed by some cheeky speeches and danced late into the night to a fantastic live band – clinking glasses, devouring a fantastic cheese tower and eating our “Bakewell tart” flavoured wedding cake! Yum!
We had the most magical time on our special day and have so many happy memories to treasure. Once the celebrations resided and I’d carried my husband over the theshold (yes- this actually happened!) we then jetted off to Mexico spending the next 2 weeks being waited on hand and foot whilst relaxing in the sun – if only we could do it all again!
I hope you enjoyed a sneak peek into my special day!
